Your DHI Recovery Timeline
Recovering from a DHI hair transplant at AraMedica is quick and convenient. Typically, you can return to your normal routine within two weeks. After the procedure, the donor area will be covered with a light gauze dressing, which will be removed the following day. The small extraction sites begin to heal within 2-3 days and blend seamlessly with your existing hair.
In the recipient area, minor scabbing may appear for about a week. Mild swelling is possible in the treated area but generally subsides within 3-4 days.
Most patients take a few days off work to recover, but light activities like phone or computer use can often be resumed the day after surgery. Any visible signs of the procedure, such as swelling or redness, usually fade within two weeks. Light exercise can be resumed after 7 days, but intense activities or swimming should be avoided for at least 3-4 weeks to ensure optimal healing.
