FUE Sapphire Hair Transplant

Achieving a Great Hairline with FUE in Italy: Safe and Natural Results

At AraMedica, we offer the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Sapphire technique, a highly refined and gentle method for harvesting hair follicles from the donor area—typically the back and sides of the scalp. Using modern tools and sapphire blades under 1mm in size, we carefully extract hair follicles, ensuring minimal discomfort, low rejection rates, and virtually undetectable scarring.

Our clinic in Lecce, Puglia stands out for its patient-centered approach. Unlike automated methods, every hair follicle is meticulously extracted and implanted by our skilled team of surgeons and technicians. Using advanced microsurgical tools and magnification, we artfully place each graft into areas of hair loss or thinning, ensuring a natural and seamless result.

With FUE, small dot-like scars may appear in the donor area, but they are hardly noticeable. Approximately 80% of our male patients choose FUE due to its minimally invasive nature and the absence of a large, linear scar. This makes it possible to wear short hairstyles or shave the back and sides of the head without concern for visible scarring.

Most patients experience only minor discomfort and enjoy a quick recovery period, with natural-looking results that are virtually undetectable. Hair loss can significantly affect self-esteem, and at AraMedica, we are dedicated to providing a transformative solution that not only restores your hair but also rebuilds your confidence.

Your FUE Recovery Timeline

Recovering from an FUE Sapphire hair transplant at AraMedica is a simple and smooth process. Typically, you’ll be back to your routine within 2 weeks. After the procedure, the donor area will be covered with a gauze bandage, which will be removed the next day. The tiny extraction sites usually start healing within 2-3 days, and by the end of the week, they often resemble a very short haircut, making them barely noticeable.

In the recipient area where the grafts are implanted, you may notice small crusts or scabs for about 2 weeks. Swelling in the grafted area, which can sometimes extend to the eyelids or cheeks, is normal and typically subsides within 3-5 days.

Most patients take a few days off work for recovery, but you can resume light activities such as using your phone or computer the same day. Any signs of swelling or redness usually fade within a week, making the procedure less noticeable. You can start light exercise for example walking and running after 15-20 days, swimming after 1 month. But it’s best to avoid intense physical activities and swimming for 1 month to ensure proper healing. All detail informations will be provided before the hair transplant by our medical team.

How Long Does the Procedure Take?

The length of an FUE Sapphire hair transplant at AraMedica can vary based on the number of grafts needed, typically lasting between 4 to 9 hours. For a standard session involving around 2,000-4,000 follicular units, the procedure may take up to 7 hours. Rest assured, we make the experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible. You can enjoy listening to music, watching your favorite shows, or simply unwinding during the procedure. We also provide meals, snacks, and frequent breaks to ensure your comfort throughout the session.
